Concerts in the Beltline Calgarians are very fortunate to have so many world-class concert venues in the Beltline area. From major venues that can hold over 17,000 fans to smaller, specialized clubs, the Beltline is this city's destination for concerts and musical entertainment. Scotiabank Saddledome, Big Four Building, Stampede Corral, Stampede Casino, Elbow River Casino, Broken City, HIFI, the Republik, the Whiskey are among some of the top destinations for concerts, offering even those with the most discernable tastes top quality entertainment. In the past few years, the Beltline has had the pleasure of hosting some of the top concerts in Canada. Elton John, Neil Diamond, Lenny Kraztiz, New Kids on the Block, Rhianna, Katy Perry, Slayer, Pearl Jam, and many others have graced the stages at multiple venues within the area. The Beltline not only offers big name, high budget concerts, but many nightclubs and bars within the area offer an interesting, different concert experience that must be seen to be believed. One of the most popular venues for music that is certainty not mainstream is Broken City. The night club does not discriminate or limit their evening entertainment choices, bringing in everything from electronica to punk to experimental rock. Come prepared to dance, head bang, and sing along loudly at any given night.

The Calgary Stampede also brings in an abundance of Canadian and International superstars. The Coca-Cola stage is home to Canada’s top acts in contemporary music today, hosting Nelly Furtado, Sam Roberts, Hedley, the Tragically Hip, and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. Nashville North, a stage with a more country feel, has had a variety of country’s hottest acts including: Hey Romeo, Beverly Mahood, Johnny Reid, Gord Bamford, and Charlie Major among others.
